The Old Man sells out
Ok, this is old but I just stumbled upon it by some random surfing. McDonalds was selling Old Man of the Mountain commemorative cups this past summer? That's just . . . wrong.
Two big Schmuckies, and three wee Schmuckies.

Turns out there's a dog groomer not far from here. Cannon, aka "Stinky," has an appointment next week. He's too big and we're both too old for another do-it-yourself grooming.
That was only the first brushing. I accumulated several piles of similar size. Never again.
Lovely, thanks FTC. Link
I was moving some images from our digital camera to the computer and saw a few I'd forgotten about (even though it was only about a week ago . . . is it possible that studying so much is overwriting my short-term memory?). I took Cannon out for his walk one morning and there was a freezing fog. The only other time I'd seen such a thing was on the summit of Mount Washington. The coolest thing was the mist freezing on all the spiderwebs. Ordinarily, most of them are too thin to be seen easily. The light coating of ice really made them stand out . . . unfortunately these images don't do it justice, but they're still pretty neat.
Woohooooo!! I thought I'd lost interest in winters and the associated hassles of cold, slush, hazardous driving and perpetual darkness. I looked out the window this morning, saw our first snow, and I was PSYCHED!!
